Half asleep penumbra, of
Consciousness, of memory;
Dominion of mono-chromate
Shadows, unreal tapestry,
Stark, bare, apparition, unclothed
Mystique, unabashed mystery,
Haunting images of her, in black, in white,
Hovers like a kiss, a promise of poetry.

Half awake Elektra, of
Concupiscence, of sensory
Perception, to consummate
A serendipitous discovery;
All that one has loved, has loathed,
Like some unfinished inventory
Of emotion, depicted in uncertain light;
Hints of intimacy, in ebony, in ivory.

I cant seem to join your forum. It says I have to 'email' my interests to distinguish me from a bot. It doesnt say where to email...or atleast I cant find it :P

Hi Tehreem,

All that information is under Announcements ( Board Index>Public Forums>Announcements ). I am reproducing the body of what one of the Administrators has posted as a guideline for new entrants:

Poets and others who appreciate poetry are welcome at Zeugma.

Because of the large number of spambot registrations, we have been forced to implement a policy of Registration approval.

If you wish to register to post in Zeugma, you will be asked to explain your interest so that we may avoid spam posters. To do this, please just write a brief note to differentiate yourself from a spambot, and send it to zeugma at riverwriter dot ca Choice of subject for the email is up to you.

Once we receive your email, I shall send you a username and password, both of which you may change in your user control panel (It is called the User CP).

We appreciate your patience.

Who's Elektra? I only know Electra. Interesting rhyme scheme - what is it called?

If you know it as Electra, then Electra it must be. After all these years I too cannot recall why Elektra? This was inspeired by the trailer to Solaris - and a black and white photograph of a phantasmagoria. Thanks for reading.

You didn't answer my question about the rhyme scheme. I really wanted to know if its something established or something only you follow. I found it very interesting. Had to read it twice to get it.

Not an established form Padmaja. Just something that one happenchanced upon :)
