She lies,
So much like the earth
Inviolate and virginal;
Uninterrupted symmetry,
Taut with passion
And electric inflorescence.

And sighs,
Lunation in her mirth;
Dew drops of matutinal,
Arboreal, perfumery,
Tease and refashion
Her steamy effulgence.

She cries,
She gives acoustic birth,
Stirs each unkiss'd petal,
To demure commentary,
And folds of turgid inaction
Yield to lusty essence.....

You were writing such wonderful poetry same time last year...wonder if I am to blame for the loss of the world!

*smile* no Anon - you are the reason for the loss of the 'word'

Thats a good thing then. You don't need words for poetry, says a gentleman I know. In fact, most evocative, lyrical poetry is written wordlessly, he says.

Your sire knows a thing or two about poetry then Anon. Always good to know such people.

I just know only one such person and he leaves no desire to know another. And he knows far more than a thing or two about poetry.

Then you indeed lead a fulfilling life, whetted as it is by the presence of one as knowledgable and wise as you claim him to be. I wonder if he knows the accolades and plaudits you consecrate to his name....or is he beyond such recognition?

That I do, TWS. My life is indeed richer for his presence. But why should he know, what i consecrate to his name? There is no need. Its not just recognition, he is beyond a lot of other things too. Anyway, let me not bore you with my personal life. I was originally here to tell you, that this was one of my favourites among your poems, I've read so far. Not sure I understood it right though. My facility with the English language is not good enough. I'd be happy if you explain.

One would like to continue being obscure - poet that one imagines oneself to be. Yet I will quote this from Cummings : you open always petal by petal myself as Spring opens /
(touching skilfully,mysteriously)her first rose.
by way of explanation. Thanks for visiting

I understood it right,then. Thanks. Each time I read it, the metaphors take me back to a conversation not so long ago. And make me smile anew. For instance, "arboreal, perfumery" made me think of "...D'maja flavour is the best!".
